Motherboard Compatibility for Wolfdale and Yorkfield Processors

DFI
DFI has already released optimized BIOS spins for their P35 boards and we expect to hear about full NVIDIA support shortly, though our 680i board generally worked with the latest BIOS spin.
ECS
ECS has already approved Wolfdale on their G31T-M and P35T-A motherboards and we expect them to support Yorkfield also. The other Intel chipset motherboards are in testing at this time, and the chipset and board combination should support both processors. Once again, the only open support question revolves around their NVIDIA 650i SLI and 680i SLI motherboards.
EVGA
EVGA is one of NVIDIA's premier launch partners and utilizes the NVIDIA reference platforms. This is an advantage the majority of time when it comes to quick BIOS releases and general support. The only open question currently is the GeForce 7050 motherboard. The 650i/680i boards will have optimized BIOS releases shortly that will fully update Wolfdale/Yorkfield performance on these products.
Foxconn
Foxconn's current Intel chipset product lineup supports the new processors, though they will be releasing BIOS updates with improved CPU recognition and performance over the coming weeks. We have not received on answer on whether or not their 680i SLI motherboard will be fully supported.

Thinking about it - what happened to the chipset business of VIA and SiS? I remember a time when I was considering either one or the other, and now I haven't heard anything interesting about either in years. abit's BIOS15 release for FP-IN9 SLI has:1.Support Wolfdale & Yolkfield (sic) CPU.
& presumably their forthcoming I-N73H/HD GF7xxx/630i mobos will be OK too.

MSI has a complete list of fully supported Wolfendale processors listed in their website. But the problem is there is alot of controversial in the web about the P6n motherboards having an approve list but wont work with wolfendale processors especially with E8400 C0 and EO series even from the current latest bios.I for one had that experience, just purchase an e8400 processor and the motherboard post wont even start.

It looks like my P5B-Deluxe will be ok, I'm assuming OC1333 means you have to manually set the bus speed/multiplier?
