AnandTech Video Card Rating

Rating (x/10)

Performance

Use of the reference design limits the extent by which the WinFast GeForce 2 GTS can dominate its competition. All cards based on the reference design perform nearly identically.

5.0

Price

With a price of $349, the Leadtek WinFast GeForce 2 GTS is identically priced to the competition

5.0

Drivers

The foundation of Leadtek's driver set is NVIDIA's reference design, which ensures safety and compatibility. The company does tweak the interface rather heavily and adds some useful utilities, such as the Speed Runner overclocking utility.

7.0

Features

In an attempt to repeat the success encountered with the large heatsink on the WinFast GeForce 256 DDR Revision B, Leadtek aimlessly added an extremely large heatsink to the WinFast GeForce 2 GTS. Proving to be pointless and a waste of money, the heatsink is the only special feature which the card has over the reference design.

4.0

Retail Availability

Leadtek cards have always been relatively easy to get online and have been popular with internet consumers. Although it does miss out at the shelf location at your local CompUSA, the card should be relatively easy to find online.

6.0

Documentation & Software Bundle

The software bundle of the Leadtek WinFast GeForce 2 GTS is nothing to brag about. Interesting is the fact that the card comes without any games, a fact which also turns out to be disappointing.
