And get my off my lawn, you damn kids! What is happening to the world? Everything is changing with these FaceTubes and InterWebs and I don't understand any of it.
what's a rolex good for? time for you nerds to accept that tech accessories have to be as fashionable as they are functional. bbbbut what about price-performance
Sounds like they are having trouble with the watch. Sometime in April is about the latest you can go while still maintaining "early 2015" timeframe. The rumor's about the horrible battery life seem carry more weight now.
Check their release dates of their new products. They typically push it the very last of week of the season or month, depending on what they promise. That in itself tells us nothing about how things are shaping up.
Tim Cook clarified in the earnings call that when it comes to product releases, Apple divides the year into three 4 month blocks. Jan-April counts as "early," May-Aug as "mid," and Sep-Dec as "late."
Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr = Early May, Jun, Jul, Aug = Mid Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec = Late
No reality distortion field in play here. Specifically, the end of April is the latest you can go and still consider it Early, although I suppose you don't use months, but days and hours cut into thirds you may have a few extra days in May due to February being shorter, but so far I've never seen a company (or anyone else) attempt to do so.
You do realize Apple had the most profitable quarter of any public company in history, and that this post stems from that announcement? You may not like it, but Apple news is a hell of lot more "mainstream" than the details of a niche videocard...
I predict an early surge in acceptable sales (but not overwhelming, as Apple is hoping for, and possibly expecting), followed quickly by a drop off to less than mediocre sales numbers. In other words, the most gung-ho lemmings will buy one, then everyone will realize what a nearly useless device a small, wrist worn internet device really is, and will stop buying them. By Christmastime, they will be selling for half price, in the drastic hope that Apple won't be stuck with millions of them.

Deciding whether mid-April is early 2015 is akin to debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, isn't it?eanazag - Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - link
